ST. MARY’S PUBLIC SCHOOL is a Christian minority school , established in 1984 by ST. THOMAS EDUCATIONAL SOCIETY, with less than 100 students and 7 staffs in a rented building with an aim to uplift the poor and downtrodden to educate the needy, irrespective of any caste or religion. To inculcate reading habits amongst students and for easy access and a sense of belonging St Mary’s is having a very good library containing variety of reference books, stories, Encyclopedias. It is maintained and updated from time to time by our expertise.
Holistic development of the child is the motto of St. Mary’s. For a healthy mind a healthy body is required. For a healthy body physical exercise is a must. With this view our school gives fitness class to children to motivate & to train their body and mind. Well experienced physical trainers are there to train the students with full of enthusiasm and energy.
"Smart Class" - a world-acclaimed technology integration program for teaching and learning in classrooms was introduced in St.Mary’s public school. It is designed to use videos, animations, live images and captivating graphics while teaching subjects such as Mathematics, Science, Social Science and English. School is helping the children and preparing to be future ready with the 21st Century learning to achieve their goals. Through lessons with animations, 3D and 2D multimedia modules, video tutorials and practice tests, students will comprehend and internalize abstract learning concepts. The content repository consists of highly animated and lesson specific multimedia modules.
During a loss of power situation, students are usually present in school. The situation becomes compounded when parents cannot reach the school to arrange for transportation, because the phone system is down. A power generator capable of operating all of the school’s equipment can change the situation from being a frantic one, to one that resembles a normal day at school. St. Mary’s has 24 hrs power supply.
We have introduced a curriculum called KID FIT for Primary students to emphasize the importance of good health and inculcate healthy habits. Kid Fit programme adds education based activities which includes periodic assessment, report card to demonstrate a student’s skill progression. Also parents can assess their wards performance in extra curricular activities. The programme is imparted by a team of highly trained teachers adept at child management.
Counseling helps us to communicate more clearly, so we can be less defensive, and productively help each other to resolve issues. St.Mary’s have facilities of counseling for those students who face difficulties in their own lives. Our counselor helps those students to accelerate the process and work in new fit ideas.
