I take this opportunity to thank St. Thomas education society for establishing St. Marys Public school, which obtained the reputation of being one of the best schools in the capital city.
For the last 32 years SMPS is rendering valuable services in the field of education and believe in a well-grounded, ambitious education which seeks to imbue students with the motto: Knowledge is Enlightment.
To achieve this, we provide, a vast array of activity and enable students to look beyond what they feel is possible, both inside and outside the classroom. St. Mary’s encourages an atmosphere of mutual respect, whilst retaining the students universal values and enrich their personalities, intellectually, physically, emotionally, psychologically and spiritually.
SMPS also arrange extra classes for weak students under the able guidance of experienced faculties. Special subjects incharge are deployed for giving individual attention. Also to develop the creativity of the students, cultural and literary competitions have been made as an integral part of our curriculum.
All of these aspects help each student to gain a genuine sense of self determination which will provide the strongest possible foundations for their future. And that is our mission "to instruct a child in the way he should go and when he grown old will not leave it".
